Secure Routes, Stronger Communities

The Parkview Safe Routes to Schools project consisted of various storm upgrades, ADA upgrades including new channelization to allow for safe passages to school, a detention vault within the roadway itself to accommodate for storm filtration, and finally a roundabout. This project placed an emphasis on ADA and Faber worked hand in hand with the City of Bellingham and the team of engineers to navigate potential issues and to ensure project compliance.

With the majority of this work being completed around an elementary school, Faber's scheduling had to be precise. Our traffic control and work schedule had to align with the school's schedule, because of this we used any time off the school had to bring on multiple crews and stay on schedule.
