Preserving the Past: A Look Into Concrete's Heritage
Set along the Baker River in Concrete, Washington, the PSE Baker River Clubhouse project provided us with the unique opportunity to upgrade and restore a historic property constructed in 1914. Originally serving as an office and laboratory for the Portland Cement Company, it now stands as an educational visitor’s center.
We worked hard to create a place for visitors to learn about the cultural and industrial history of Concrete, combining modern design elements with historic relics—like the prolific concrete silos—to preserve the past through an immersive experience.
