Where Convenience Meets the Road
Fisherman's Cove was Faber's first CM/GC project with the Lummi Nation. The project included the new construction and self performed civil work for a fuel station and convenience store located across from the Lummi Island Ferry. The project team value engineered the design to reduce cost without sacrificing quality. Faber enjoyed collaborating closely with the Tribe's project managers to make small changes to maximize cost savings. As this project moved into construction, the Faber project management team combined efforts to get as much Native and/or Certified Disadvantaged Businesses involved. For this particular project we were proactive in working with TERO to supply native workers for every scope of work that we could. Fisherman's Cove achieved nearly 80% involvement with either Native Owned or Certified Disadvantaged Businesses and Native Participation.
